An assessment of relevant existing in-house technologies in the context of the classified business requirements to determine their suitability for fulfilling those requirements.

An assessment of the validity of the ECM programme, covering areas such as the business requirements provided, organisational objectives and programme sponsorship to identify relevant areas of risk for the programme. It also provides recommendations around approach to reduce the risks and enhance the likelihood of success for their programme.

An analysis of the existing information and processes, to determine the volume and nature of the information and evaluation of the findings to understand the behaviour and value of the information.

In the context of the business requirements - which have been classified into ECM practices and technologies - an assessment of leading ECM vendors to create a shortlist of vendors and technologies who can meet the business requirements.

Selection of 2-3 ECM vendors who merit further investigation. The vendors are invited to workshops to run through POC builds based on discrete areas of the business requirements and specific use cases obtained during the Practice Assessment phase.
