International technical services provider creates a shared communication platform with ECM solution from The Content Group.
UK technical services and process provider, Imtech, has selected a fully-integrated Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Solution from The Content Group. This ECM system, based on Ektron software, will allow Imtech UK to share communications across its five businesses, modernise the current intranet and begin to automate existing manually-based business processes, improving cost efficiencies and potentially reducing carbon footprint.
Imtech UK, part of the €3 billion global Imtech International organisation, is a significant provider of technical services to the marine, telecoms, process, utilities and building services industries. With its ECM solution from The Content Group, Imtech UK is facilitating efficient business process management across all its growing UK businesses whilst creating a centralized document access system, and has gained far greater control of its inter-business communication. There is an expectation that the electronic distribution and storage of documents will reduce Imtech’s carbon footprint over time.
Following the successful implementation of The Content Group’s solution, Imtech is now planning further ECM upgrades. Wylie says, “Initially, the goal is to create this shared platform, to reduce paper volumes and generally streamline and accelerate more cumbersome tasks.
